Rear corner
In places the steel was almost totally corroded

Centre section
The centre section was on the point of collapse.

Old framework
The base framework was very badly corroded

Cross beams
The cross beams were detatching from the main stringers.

New steel
After cutting out the entire base of the trailer a new one was fabricated.

New base
The new base was grafted to the main structure and the result was a refurbished trailer which would last for many years.

Completed steelwork
The trailer was then ready for the side pannels to be pop riveted back and the floor re-fitting, preserving all the original fittings for the glider. The whole project cost a fraction of the price of a new trailer.
